Exhibit

You want Site 1 to access three VLANs that are located in Site 2 and Site 3 The customer-facing interface on the PE-1 router is configured for Ethernet-VLAN encapsulation.

What is the minimum number of L2VPN routing instances to be configured to accomplish this task?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

To allow Site 1 to access three VLANs that are located in Site 2 and Site 3, you need to configure three L2VPN routing instances on PE-1, one for each VLAN. Each L2VPN routing instance will have a different VLAN ID and a different VNI for VXLAN encapsulation. Each L2VPN routing instance will also have a different vrf-target export value to identify which VPN routes belong to which VLAN. This way, PE-1 can forward traffic from Site 1 to Site 2 and Site 3 based on the VLAN tags and VNIs.

I agree, 2 seems right for separate sites.

Wait, are we sure about that? Seems like it could be more!

Definitely 1 instance needed if they're all on the same PE.

I think it's 3 L2VPN instances for 3 VLANs.

I recall that for multiple VLANs, we often need a separate routing instance for each one. So, I’m leaning towards option B, which is 3.

I’m a bit confused about whether we need separate instances for each site or if they can share. I think it might be 2, but I’m not confident.

This question seems similar to the practice questions we did on VLANs and L2VPNs. I feel like the answer could be 3 since there are three VLANs involved.

I remember studying L2VPNs, and I think we might need one instance per VLAN, but I'm not entirely sure if they can be combined.

Okay, I remember learning about VPCs in class. It's an isolated and private virtual network environment, so I'm pretty sure the answer is True.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I know there are different types of cryptographic algorithms, but I can't quite remember the differences between symmetric and asymmetric encryption. I'll have to think this through carefully.

Hmm, I'm a little unsure about the difference between reported claims and IBNR claims. I'll need to think this through carefully.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure here. Is a classification model the right approach for a recommendation system? I'll need to review the differences between the model types to decide the best fit.
