I thought enabling MFA on the system would mean the user has to use it, but now I'm confused if it applies without the account being set up for it.

I feel like this is similar to a practice question we did where the user had to set up MFA first. So, maybe they would be asked to enroll?

I think if MFA is enabled on the system but not for the user account, the user might still get prompted to enroll in MFA.

Definitely int for this one. The identifier is a small integer type, and using int will give us the best performance for the frequent queries we need to run. I'm confident this is the right choice.
