Within a federated identity system, which of the following would you be MOST likely to use for sending information for consumption by a relying party?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

The Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is the most widely used method for encoding and sending attributes and other information from an identity provider to a relying party.WS-Federation, which is used by Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), is the second most used method for sending information to a relying party, but it is not a better choice than SAML. XML is similar to SAML in the way it encodes and labels data, but it does not have all of the required extensions that SAML does. HTML is not used within federated systems at all.

XML is just a data format, not the best choice here.

I’m leaning towards SAML too, but I wonder if there are scenarios where XML could be used instead.

WS-Federation sounds familiar, but I’m not confident if it’s the best option here. I might be mixing it up with something else.

I remember practicing with a question about XML and its role in identity systems, but I feel like SAML is more specific to this context.

I think SAML might be the right choice since it’s often used for federated identity, but I’m not completely sure.

I'm a bit confused by this question. I know federated identity systems use various protocols, but I'm not sure which one would be the most likely for sending information to a relying party. I'll have to guess and hope for the best.

Okay, I've got a strategy here. SAML is a common standard for federated identity, so that's probably the best answer. WS-Federation is another option, but SAML seems more widely used. I'm going to go with SAML.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I know XML and HTML are common data formats, but I'm not sure if they would be the most likely choice for a federated identity system. I'll have to think this through carefully.

This looks like a question on federated identity systems. I think the key is to identify the most common format used for sending information to relying parties. I'll review the options and try to eliminate the less likely choices.

Wait, is this a trick question? Of course it's SAML - what are the other options, smoke signals?

XML? I thought we were done with that ancient tech. SAML is the future, my dude.
