[All CCSP Questions]

Which ITIL component is an ongoing, iterative process of tracking all deployed and configured resources that an organization uses and depends on, whether they are hosted in a traditional data center or a cloud?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

Configuration management tracks and maintains detailed information about all IT components within an organization. Availability management is focused on making sure system resources, processes, personnel, and toolsets are properly allocated and secured to meet SLA requirements. Continuity management (or business continuity management) is focused on planning for the successful restoration of systems or services after an unexpected outage, incident, or disaster. Problem management is focused on identifying and mitigating known problems and deficiencies before they occur.

D makes the most sense, but I thought it was more complex.

I practiced a similar question last week, and it was about managing configurations, so I’m pretty confident it’s Configuration management.

I feel a bit confused; I thought Availability management was related to resources too, but I guess it's more about uptime?

I remember studying the differences between these components, and Configuration management definitely sounds like the right answer since it deals with tracking resources.

Ugh, ITIL questions are the worst. There are so many different processes to keep track of. I'm just going to take my best guess and hope for the best. Maybe B) Continuity management? Or is that something else... Ah, I'll just mark D and move on.

Okay, I've got this. Configuration management is the ITIL process that maintains an up-to-date record of all the hardware, software, and other IT assets that the organization relies on. It's an ongoing process to track everything, whether it's on-premises or in the cloud. Definitely going with D) for this one.

I think this might be about tracking resources, so I'm leaning towards Configuration management, but I'm not entirely sure.

Hmm, this one has me a bit stumped. I know ITIL has a lot of different processes, and I'm not totally clear on the differences between them. I'll have to think this through carefully and review my ITIL notes before answering.

I think this is asking about the ITIL process that keeps track of all the IT resources and assets the company uses. The key is that it covers both on-premises and cloud-based resources. I'm pretty sure the answer is D) Configuration management.
