Ooh, this is a tough one. An incremental salary increase is like the bare minimum, so that makes sense for reducing dissatisfaction. But I'm with Noelia - a sense of achievement is where it's at for real motivation!

Wait, is the answer 'A sense of achievement'? Because that's what I'd want as a trainee - to feel like I'm actually accomplishing something, you know? The rest are just table stakes.

Promotion, definitely! That would be a huge motivator for me. Although I suppose recognition could also help reduce dissatisfaction without being a true motivator. Decisions, decisions...

I'm going with D. An incremental salary increase is a basic need, so it would reduce dissatisfaction, but it's not the kind of thing that would really motivate me as a trainee. I need more than just a few extra bucks.

Hmm, I think an incremental increase in salary would reduce dissatisfaction without being a major motivator. It's like getting a small raise - it's nice, but it doesn't make you jump for joy, you know?

But wouldn't a promotion also reduce dissatisfaction without necessarily motivating the trainee?
