Maybe Singapore's just trying to be the 'anti-ASEAN' - you know, the one country that doesn't play by the rules. Rebels without a cause, but with a lot of economic power.

I'm going with B. Singapore likes to do its own thing when it comes to human rights, it seems. Probably doesn't want to be tied down by all those pesky international agreements.

D is the answer, for sure. Singapore's not a member of the UN? That's like human rights 101, how could they not be part of that?

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. Maybe it's C? Singapore hasn't adopted the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration, which is kind of surprising for a country in the region.

I think the answer is B. Singapore has not signed the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which sets out the basic human rights standards that countries should follow.

But some may argue that Singapore's strict laws and regulations contribute to its strong human rights record, despite not signing certain agreements.

I agree with Cecil. Singapore's decision not to sign that covenant sets it apart from other Asian countries.

I think what separates Singapore is that it has not signed the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
