Tom, however, knows that the plant and position that Mary is interviewing for will be closed in six months. This is an example of which of the following?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

Answer option B is correct.

Tom is committing fraudulent misrepresentation as Mary has asked about the well-being of the company. Tom knows the plant will be closing and just needs a manager for the plant for the next six months. He hires Mary without telling her this news and implies that the company has a commitment to Mary for a long time.

Answer option C is incorrect. A constructive discharge is a workplace environment which is so hostile that the employee feels obligated to quit.

Answer option D is incorrect. The Latin phrase respondeat superior means 'let the master answer.' It means the employer can be held liable for the actions of the employee.

Answer option A is incorrect. Defamation happens when an employer or employee tries to defame the reputation of the other during or after a termination process. For example, an employer may give negative references about the terminated employee.

This is definitely misleading, but I wonder if it counts as defamation?

Sounds like classic fraudulent misrepresentation to me.

I feel like this could be defamation too, but that usually involves false statements harming someone's reputation, right? This seems more about deception in hiring.

This question reminds me of a practice case we did about misleading job offers. I think it was also about fraudulent misrepresentation, but I could be wrong.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think constructive discharge relates more to forcing someone to resign rather than misleading them during hiring.

I remember discussing fraudulent misrepresentation in class, where someone intentionally deceives another party. This seems to fit since Tom is hiding the plant's closure.

I've got this! The answer is C. Optimizing visit sequence in real time during a Field Rep's Day is definitely a capability of Salesforce Maps with Consumer Goods Cloud.

I've got this! The FTC report emphasized the importance of transparency, so that must be the one that's not listed as an option. I'll go with C.

I'm not too sure... I remember we practiced similar questions, but I think I'd be tempted to choose A. Playing a board game seems social, but is it really a long-term outcome?

I'm a bit unsure about this one. Does the policy really apply to all OSes in the group, or just the dominant OS?

I'm a bit confused about the DeviceNetworkEvents part - I don't think that's the right event table to use here since we're looking for process-related events. I'd stick with DeviceProcessEvents.
