But what about B? The consultant needs access to do their job.

I think the Cloud Dataflow Developer role is necessary for coding.

D) Create an anonymized sample of the data for the consultant to work with in a different project. Gotta keep that user data under lock and key, you know?

I practiced a similar question where we had to balance access and privacy. I feel like the service account option could be a safe way to limit exposure.

I think creating an anonymized sample of the data could be a good approach, but I'm not sure if it would be sufficient for the complex transformation they need to do.

I remember we discussed the importance of minimizing access to sensitive data. Granting the Viewer role might not be enough for the consultant's needs.

I'm a bit confused on the differences between the roles and how they impact access. I'll need to review the Cloud Platform documentation to make sure I fully understand the implications of each option.

Yeah, that makes sense. Creating an anonymized sample for them to work with is also a good idea, just to be extra cautious.

I think the best approach here is to create a service account for the consultant. That way they can log in and do their work without having direct access to the private user data.

I’m a bit confused about the roles. Granting the Cloud Dataflow Developer role seems too broad for someone who shouldn't access user data directly.

A) Grant the consultant the Viewer role on the project. That's just asking for trouble, mate!

Okay, let's see. I'm pretty sure granting the Viewer role is not enough, since the consultant still needs to be able to actually work on the pipeline. And I don't think we want to give them full Cloud Dataflow Developer access either.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to think carefully about how to balance giving the consultant access while still protecting user privacy.
