As an API Engineer your team would like to make sure you are simulating a user experience prior to a deployment in a production environment. Which tests should be ran to closely resemble a consumer interaction with a APIs?
I practiced a question like this before, and I think integration tests are definitely the best fit here. They help ensure everything works as expected from the user's perspective.
I'm not entirely sure, but I remember something about smoke tests being more about checking if the basic functions work. That might not be enough for simulating user experience.
I think integration tests might be the right choice since they check how different parts of the API work together, which is similar to user interactions.
