I'd say the Scrum Master is just trying to keep the team from drafting a 'Sprint Backlash' instead of a Sprint Backlog. That'd be a whole different phase, for sure!

B) Plan and Estimate, no doubt. I mean, who drafts a Sprint Backlog during the party at the end of the sprint? That's just crazy!

D) Review and Retrospect. Isn't the Sprint Backlog reviewed and updated during the sprint retrospective? That's where the Scrum Master comes in.

I'm going with C) Implement. The Sprint Backlog is the key artifact used during the actual sprint, isn't it?

But wouldn't it also involve some implementation tasks? Maybe it could be a mix of Plan and Estimate and Implement phases.

I agree with Verda, because in this phase the team plans the work for the upcoming Sprint.
