Marty is coaching the Development Team on being completely done with the user stories in a Sprint. What should Marty tell the Development Team regarding the completeness of a Product Backlog?
Ah, the age-old question of 'when is done, really done?' Marty should tell the team that an item is done when it's been certified by a team of ninjas, approved by the Dalai Lama, and blessed by a unicorn. Easy peasy.
Option D is clearly the correct answer. The Scrum Master is the lord and master of all things Scrum, so they should be the one to declare an item as complete. Marty should just bow down and listen to the Scrum Master's wisdom.
This is a tough one, but I think B is the best answer. At the end of the day, the customer's acceptance is what really matters, not just the team's or Product Owner's opinion.
I'd go with C. The Product Owner is the one who represents the customer's needs, so they should have the final say on whether the item is truly complete and ready for release.
Option A seems to be the most accurate. The item is done when there's no more work to be released, not when the customer or Product Owner says so. Marty should focus on the team completing the work, not just getting approval.
