B. Search Results sounds right to me. That option would let you show the field in the search results without making it the default selection. I'm pretty confident that's the correct answer.

I think if the risk is low in impact but medium in likelihood, we should probably accept it but keep an eye on it, right? Maybe that's the monitoring option?
