I'm going with C. Hosts in a group shouldn't have any pre-existing storage mappings, otherwise it could get messy.

I see your point, but I still think C is the characteristic of Host Groups. Hosts added to a host group must not have mapped block storage resources.

Actually, A is the correct answer. Access to block storage resources must be set before adding hosts to a host group.

I disagree, I believe D is the characteristic of Host Groups. Block storage resources attached to one member host are accessible to the entire host group.
