When monitoring APs within a LAN using a Wireless Network Management System (WNMS), what secure protocol may be used by the WNMS to issue configuration changes to APs?
TFTP is typically used for file transfers, not secure management of network devices. I doubt that's the protocol the WNMS would use. I'm leaning towards SNMPv3 or IPSec/ESP as the most likely answers.
802.1X/EAP is used for client authentication on wireless networks, so I don't think that's the right answer here. This question is specifically about the protocol used by the WNMS, not the APs themselves.
IPSec/ESP seems like a good option for securely communicating configuration changes to the APs. It provides strong encryption and authentication, which is important for a management system like WNMS.
Hmm, I'm a bit unsure on this one. I know WNMS is used to monitor and manage APs, but I can't remember the specific secure protocol they use. I'll have to think this through carefully.
I'm pretty sure the secure protocol used by the WNMS to issue configuration changes to APs is SNMPv3. That's the industry standard for secure remote management of network devices.
Okay, the "X" must be signifying that the file is in a problematic state. I'll need to read the options closely and see which one best fits that description.
