Actual exam question for CIPS's L4M7 exam
Question #: 36
Topic #: 3
[All L4M7 Questions]

Which of the following factors should be considered in the choice of a warehouse location?

The type of barcoding that is used

The impact of local authority bylaws and regulations

The number of forklifts to be used

The nature of the items to be stored

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

Obsolescent stock is stock, usually finished goods, which is in good condition and satisfactory working but for which demand is irreversibly falling towards zero. Once this demand reaches zero the stock can be considered 'obsolete'. It cannot be used or sold in its current state. Food ingredients (like candy canes) which are out of date are another example.

I think it’s definitely between options C and D, but I’m leaning towards C since regulations and item nature seem crucial.

I remember a practice question where local authority regulations were emphasized. I feel like option C might be the right choice.

I feel pretty confident about this question. The key factors are the local regulations and the nature of the items being stored. Those seem like the most important considerations for choosing the right warehouse location.

Okay, let me think this through. The type of barcoding, local authority regulations, number of forklifts, and nature of items stored - those all seem relevant to choosing a good warehouse location. I'll need to carefully consider how each factor impacts the decision.

This is a tricky one. I'm not entirely sure how the type of barcoding or number of forklifts would factor into the warehouse location choice. I'll need to review those factors more closely.

I think the style guide and user interface guidelines are also part of information architecture, since they define the overall structure and organization of the content.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused by the distinction between "waterfall" and "agile" approaches here. I'll need to review my notes on the TMap methodologies to make sure I understand the differences before attempting to answer this.

Ah, I remember this from the lectures. The correct answer is E - the certificate signing request. The CA uses that to create the final certificate for the web server. Glad I brushed up on this topic.

Wait, wait, wait... is there a 'forklift jousting' option on the list? Because that would definitely be a factor I'd consider. Just imagine the epic warehouse battles!

Barcode technology? Really? I mean, sure, it's important, but it's like the least exciting part of the whole warehouse equation. Where's the excitement, people? Where's the drama?

The number of forklifts needed is kind of a no-brainer. If you're storing heavy stuff, you're gonna need more forklifts. Although, I hear they can be pretty fun to race around the warehouse. Just saying.

I think the nature of the items to be stored is a crucial factor. You don't want to store highly flammable materials next to a daycare center, you know? Safety first!
