Article 9(2)(c) of UK GDPR condition of processing special category data in the vital interests of the data subject is only applicable in which of the following circumstances:

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

Article 9(2) of UK GDPR allows the processing of special category data when it is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person where the data subject is physically or legally incapable of giving consent. This means that the data subject is unable to exercise their right to consent or object to the processing, either because they are unconscious, in a coma, suffering from a severe mental disorder, or otherwise unable to communicate their wishes. This condition is intended to cover emergency situations, such as life-threatening medical interventions, where the data subject's consent cannot be obtained in time. It does not apply when another lawful basis applies, when the data subject is physically absent but still capable of giving consent, or when the data subject refuses to consent.Reference:

C seems plausible, but B is definitely the best fit here.

Wait, so if they refuse consent, it doesn't apply? That's surprising!

I thought it could be A too, but B makes more sense.

It's B! Incapacitated data subjects are the key.

I don't think option D is right because refusing consent doesn't automatically mean you can process their data under vital interests.

I feel like option C could also be relevant, but I can't recall if being physically unable to be present is enough on its own.

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember something about needing another lawful basis for processing special category data, which could point to option A.

I think option B might be correct since it relates to situations where the data subject can't make decisions for themselves.

I've got a strategy - I'll eliminate the options that don't seem quite right, then focus in on the most likely answer.

I'm a bit confused by the wording of the options. I'll need to re-read the question a few times to make sure I understand it fully.

Okay, let me think this through step-by-step. The key is understanding when that specific condition for processing special category data applies.

Hmm, I'm not totally sure about the specifics of Article 9(2)(c) of the UK GDPR. I'll need to review that section carefully.

Okay, let's see. The question is asking about collecting data, so I'm thinking either Workflow or Process Builder would be the best options here.

Okay, I think I've got this. The question is asking which type of crime against businesses would be the exception to the general rule that local law enforcement has little effect. Based on the options provided, I'd say employee theft or embezzlement would be the exceptions, since those are internal crimes that local law enforcement would likely be more involved in investigating.

Wait, is this asking about HTML5 and CSS3 specifically? I'm a little confused, I was thinking this was more of a general web design question. I'll have to re-read the question and options carefully.

I remember practicing questions on crypto categories, and I'm pretty sure Ethereum is not just a currency like Bitcoin. So, option A feels wrong.

I believe the correct answer is indeed A) When another lawful basis applies, as it aligns with the principles of data protection.

I don't think so, because the question specifically mentions that it's not a valid circumstance.

I agree with Phillip. The vital interests condition can only be used when another lawful basis applies.
