a. How will this affect the camera's ability to detect motion if no settings are changed?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

When a camera is zoomed out, the field of view increases, causing each object or movement to cover fewer pixels. As a result, more pixels need to change to trigger motion detection. This means the motion detection sensitivity may be reduced unless adjustments are made to the detection settings. For more information, refer to Axis Communications' motion detection setup guides.

I feel like if the camera zooms out, it could actually require less movement to trigger detection since it's seeing more space at once?

I remember a practice question where zooming affected pixel density, but I'm not sure if that means more or less movement is needed.

I think zooming out might mean that the camera covers a larger area, so maybe it needs more movement to trigger detection?
