Currently a customer has an IP500 V2 Preferred Edition deployment with SIP trunks at their office, but they plan to have 10 employees for tech support to work remotely within the next month. All 10 employees must be able to access their extension simultaneously. They ask you If the IP Office has built-in functionality for this and whether that Is sufficient from a security perspective.

I heard the IP Office has a built-in SBC that can handle remote workers, so I'm going to have to agree with Johnson on Option D. Although, I do wonder if the 'Teleworker' license includes a free 'Pajama Day' clause.

Option C is the way to go. Go big or go home, right? The customer wants security, and the SBCE and Advanced licenses will future-proof their setup. Just make sure to bill them for all the fancy acronyms.

I'm going to have to go with Option D. Why pay for extra licensing when the IP Office can handle it all out of the box? Plus, 'Teleworker' just sounds more fun than 'Standard' or 'Advanced'.

I'm not sure the built-in SBC will be enough for 10 simultaneous remote connections. Option A with the SBCE and Standard licenses might be the more robust solution, even if it's a bit more expensive.

Option B seems the most straightforward and cost-effective solution. The built-in SBC and firewall should provide sufficient security, and the Teleworker licenses are a good fit for the remote workers.

I'm not sure about the licensing, but having an SBCE for security sounds like a good idea. Option A seems like the way to go.

I agree with you. The customer definitely needs the Standard Licenses for the remote workers to access their extensions.

I think option A is the best choice. An SBCE will provide extra security for remote workers.
