Laser scanner, for sure. Though I wonder if it can measure the distance between my ears. Might need a special 'head-scanning' mode for that one!

I think a laser scanner would be perfect for noncontact measurements.

Laser scanner, definitely. Though I bet it can't measure things as precisely as a good old-fashioned micrometer. Guess I'll have to use both, like a measurement superhero!

Micrometers and calipers are classics, but they definitely require physical contact with the subject. Gotta go with the laser scanner on this one.

Wait, hardness tester? That's more like a contact tool, isn't it? I mean, you have to apply force to get the reading. Not very 'noncontact' if you ask me.

That's true, a hardness tester does require some level of contact to get a reading.

I see your point, but a hardness tester can also be used without direct contact.

Hmm, a noncontact measurement tool? Laser scanner seems like the obvious choice here. I can already picture it zapping away, capturing data without ever touching the object.

I'm not sure, but I think A) Laser scanner makes sense because it uses light to measure distances.

I agree with Marica, a laser scanner does not require physical contact to take measurements.
