Amazon ANS-C01 Exam - Topic 1 Question 8 Discussion

Actual exam question for Amazon's ANS-C01 exam
Question #: 8
Topic #: 1
[All ANS-C01 Questions]

A company's AWS architecture consists of several VPCs. The VPCs include a shared services VPC and several application VPCs. The company has established network connectivity from all VPCs to the on-premises DNS servers.

Applications that are deployed in the application VPCs must be able to resolve DNS for internally hosted domains on premises. The applications also must be able to resolve local VPC domain names and domains that are hosted in Amazon Route 53 private hosted zones.

What should a network engineer do to meet these requirements?

Wait, can we really use inbound endpoints for this? Sounds odd!

I agree with A, it covers all the bases for DNS needs.

Not sure about C, it looks incomplete to me.

I think B is better since it focuses on outbound endpoints.

Option A seems like the best choice for inbound DNS resolution.

I’m leaning towards option A, creating an inbound endpoint, but I’m not confident about whether we need to associate it with each application VPC.

I feel like the outbound endpoint option might be the right choice here, but I’m confused about how it interacts with the on-premises DNS servers.

I remember a practice question where we had to set up DNS resolution between VPCs and on-premises servers. I think we used forwarding rules, but I can't recall if it was inbound or outbound.

I think we need to create an inbound endpoint for the Route 53 Resolver, but I'm not entirely sure if we also need to update the DHCP settings for each VPC.

I'm feeling pretty confident about this one. APEC is an economic cooperation organization, so I'm guessing the principles are more about trade, investment, and economic integration rather than individual privacy rights or commercial regulations. I'll go with option D.

I'm feeling pretty good about this one. The QUALITY.A.ValueOf() option looks like the correct way to get the string representation of the enum value, which should then print "Best" in the switch statement.
