Amazon Exam ANS-C01 Topic 1 Question 19 Discussion

Actual exam question for Amazon's ANS-C01 exam
Question #: 19
Topic #: 1
[All ANS-C01 Questions]

A company has two business units (BUs). The company operates in the us-east-1 Region and the us-west-1 Region. The company plans to extend to more Regions in the future. Each BU has

a VPC in each Region. Each Region has a transit gateway with the BU VPCs attached. The transit gateways in both Regions are peered.

The company will create several more BUs in the future and will need to isolate some of the BUs from the other BUs. The company wants to migrate to an architecture to incorporate more

Regions and BUs.

Which solution will meet these requirements with the MOST operational efficiency?

I'm not a fan of the transit gateway approach in option A. Creating a new transit gateway for each BU in each Region sounds like a lot of overhead and maintenance. Option C looks like a cleaner and more scalable solution.

I disagree, I believe option D is better. It's simpler to just attach new VPCs to existing transit gateways.

I think option A is the best choice. It seems like the most efficient way to control traffic between BUs.

That's a valid point, Annamae. But I still think creating new transit gateways for each BU will offer better control over traffic between BUs.

The question is pretty straightforward. I think option C is the best solution as it allows for the creation of an AWS Cloud WAN core network with segment isolation to control traffic between the BUs. This seems to be the most operationally efficient approach.

I think option A is the best choice. Creating new transit gateways for each new BU will provide the needed isolation and operational efficiency.
