I'm pretty sure firms use reminder advertising during the maturity stage of the product lifecycle, when the product is well-established and they want to keep it top-of-mind for consumers.
Hmm, this is a tricky one. I'm not entirely sure which of these options would be the most effective at reducing risk. I'll have to weigh the pros and cons of each choice.
