Worldatwork c8 Exam - Topic 4 Question 7 Discussion

Actual exam question for Worldatwork's c8 exam
Question #: 7
Topic #: 4
[All c8 Questions]

Your company has had a strong fiscal year with a 15% increase in net income over the prior fiscal year. Share prices are at an all time high. Working with Finance, you have arrived at a 2.5% merit increase budget for the next fiscal year, a smaller increase than the last fiscal year. Finance has indicated that some large capital expenditures will be needed next year, so the company needs to conserve resources. Additionally, Legal is in final negotiations on a lawsuit that may be very costly to the company. Word of the smaller increases has line management concerned that they will lose their best performers. Given all of these factors, what is your best course of action?

Reducing headcount to boost merit budget? Not sure that's a good idea.

Surprised they’re not prioritizing talent retention more.

Totally agree, but a 2.5% raise feels too low.

I’m leaning towards option B, but I’m worried about the potential backlash from Finance. It’s a tough call, especially with the lawsuit looming over us.

I feel like I've seen a similar question before where we had to balance budget constraints with employee satisfaction. Option A seems too rigid, but I wonder if it's the safest choice given the financial pressures.

I think option C makes sense because gathering perspectives could lead to a better solution. But what if it takes too long and we miss the opportunity to act?

I remember discussing the importance of retaining top talent in our HR class. It seems like option B could really help with that, but I'm not sure if Finance would agree.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. Is it asking about the document the seller uses to decide whether to bid, or the actual reasons they consider? I'm leaning towards C, Justification document, but I'm not totally sure.

I think WAF does include protection against web application attacks, but I'm a bit unsure about the specifics of CC protection.

Honestly, I'm torn between A and D. I know they both connect to enhancing outcomes, but I can't recall which was emphasized more.

This looks like a straightforward question about finding the right Avaya documentation. I'll need to review the available options and think about which one is most likely to contain the server requirements.

Rounding the Longitude column could work, but I'm not sure if that would really impact the model size that much. Might be worth trying, but I'd want to explore other options too.
