VMware 5V0-41.20 Exam - Topic 4 Question 28 Discussion

Actual exam question for VMware's 5V0-41.20 exam
Question #: 28
Topic #: 4
[All 5V0-41.20 Questions]

Scenario 2:

After completing the branch activation activities for all required branches, the network administrator attempts to test connectivity between the various branches and between the hubs and branches. The administrator notices a lack of connectivity despite being certain that configurations have been complete. The administrator also observed that several users are reporting intermittent connectivity to some of the applications they are accessing. Other users are reporting no access to these applications. Other users at some of the branches claim they cannot get to certain public resources. The administrator wants to ensure that all sites can talk to each other and all resources are accessible.

Exhibit.

The SD-WAN Edge at this location has been activated. It is incapable of establishing any overlay tunnels. Due to this being an internet only branch, no underlay connectivity is present to the hubs. The SD-WAN Edge is connected behind a firewall and the security team states that all necessary ports are open.

How can this issue be resolved?

I agree, but what if the firewall is blocking something else?

Definitely need to check the firewall settings again.

Wait, why would they need to open TCP port 22? That seems off.

I think they should open UDP port 2426, right?

Sounds like a port issue for sure.

I’m pretty sure that for SD-WAN, we need to ensure both outbound and inbound ports are open. I think UDP port 2426 is the one we should focus on.

I feel like TCP port 4500 was mentioned in one of our study sessions, but I can’t recall if it was relevant to this scenario.

I think we practiced a similar question where we had to identify which ports were necessary for SD-WAN connectivity. Was it UDP port 2426 that we needed?

I remember something about overlay tunnels needing specific ports to be open, but I’m not sure if it’s TCP or UDP.

Hmm, this is an interesting one. I'll need to think through the logic of the Central Feature tool and consider how the distribution of the polygons could affect the output.

Wait, I'm a little confused. Is adding an element to an enum really a breaking change? I thought Avro was supposed to be good at handling schema evolution. Let me re-read the question and my notes to make sure I understand this properly.

Okay, so the key is to configure the security to meet the business requirements. The solution mentions using position hierarchy security, which could be a good approach. I'll need to make sure I understand how that works and whether it will truly address the need for collaboration between the two departments.

I've got a good strategy for this type of question. First, I'll eliminate the options that don't seem to fit. Then I'll think about the key purpose of inventory control and match that to the remaining choices.
