I'm pretty sure E is also correct. The ApplicationContext maintains the singleton beans that are created by the Spring runtime. That's a core feature of the container.
Haha, I bet the developers of Spring had a good laugh coming up with that one. 'The ApplicationContext doesn't include all the functionality of the BeanFactory.' Yeah, right!
I agree with Verlene. The ApplicationContext is the central interface in Spring, and it's really versatile in terms of the environments it can be used in.
