Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B, D

Distributed Firewall on VDS is a feature of NSX-T Data Center that allows users to install Distributed Security for vSphere Distributed Switch (VDS) without the need to deploy an NSX Virtual Distributed Switch (N-VDS). This feature provides NSX security capabilities such as Distributed Firewall (DFW), Distributed IDS/IPS, Identity Firewall, L7 App ID, FQDN Filtering, NSX Intelligence, and NSX Malware Prevention. To enable this feature, the following requirements must be met in the environment:

The NSX version must be3.2 and later1. This is the minimum version that supports Distributed Security for VDS.

The VDS version must be6.6.0 and later1. This is the minimum version that supports the NSX host preparation operation that activates the DFW with the default rule set to allow.

This question is making me hungry. I wonder if they serve distributed firewall-flavored snacks at the exam center?

Hmm, let's see... NSX 3.2 or later, and VDS 6.6.0 or later. Easy as pie! Or is it cake? I always get those mixed up.

Wait, is this a trick question? I mean, who would use a distributed firewall without updating the network and vSphere environment? That's like trying to run Windows 95 on a quantum computer.

I'm pretty sure the NSX version requirement is 3.0 and later. Distributed Firewall on VDS? Sounds like a party! Where's the dance floor?

Definitely need NSX 3.2 or later. The question says it's a distributed firewall on VDS, so that rules out vCenter 8.0 and VDS 6.6.0. Easy peasy!

I'm not sure about option B and C, but I think A and D make sense based on the architecture.

I agree with Mickie, vCenter 8.0 and VDS version 6.6.0 are needed for Distributed Firewall on VDS.
