Which types of networks are available when creating a segment in VMware Cloud on AWS?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

VMware Cloud on AWS GovCloud supports three types of network segments: routed, extended and disconnected.

Routed networks: Routed networks allow you to route traffic between the on-premises data center and the VMware Cloud on AWS environment using a VPN or AWS Direct Connect.

Extended networks: Extended networks allow you to extend the on-premises network to the VMware Cloud on AWS environment using VXLAN. This type of network allows you to extend the on-premises VLANs to the cloud environment, providing a seamless network extension.

Disconnected networks: Disconnected networks are used when there is no direct connectivity between the on-premises data center and the VMware Cloud on AWS environment. This type of network allows you to create isolated networks in the cloud environment for specific use cases, such as disaster recovery or testing.

I thought there were only routed and isolated types, but I guess I need to double-check what "advertised" means in this context.

I’m leaning towards option A, but I keep mixing up "extended" and "stretched." It's so confusing!

I practiced a question similar to this, and I feel like "advertised" was mentioned, but I can't recall the exact combinations.

I think I remember something about routed and disconnected networks, but I'm not sure if "stretched" is the right term here.

Ah, I remember learning about this in class. The network types available are Routed, Stretched, and Disconnected. I'm pretty sure that's the correct answer.

Okay, let me think this through. I know VMware Cloud on AWS has different network options, but I can't quite recall the exact names. I'll have to review my notes to make sure I get this right.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I think the options are Routed, Extended, and Disconnected, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to double-check the documentation.
