I’m pretty sure touch doesn’t generate an error if the file exists, it just modifies it somehow.

I’m a bit confused about the -7 option; I don’t recall seeing that in our notes. Does it even exist?

I think the touch command just updates the timestamps of the file, but I'm not completely sure.
