A new single-site three indexer cluster is being stood up with replication_factor:2, search_factor:2. At which step would the Indexer Cluster be classed as 'Indexing Ready' and be able to ingest new data?

Step 1: Install and configure Cluster Master (CM)/Master Node with base clustering stanza settings, restarting CM.

Step 2: Configure a base app in etc/master-apps on the CM to enable a splunktcp input on port 9997 and deploy index creation configurations.

Step 3: Install and configure Indexer 1 so that once restarted, it contacts the CM, download the latest config bundle.

Step 4: Indexer 1 restarts and has successfully joined the cluster.

Step 5: Install and configure Indexer 2 so that once restarted, it contacts the CM, downloads the latest config bundle

Step 6: Indexer 2 restarts and has successfully joined the cluster.

Step 7: Install and configure Indexer 3 so that once restarted, it contacts the CM, downloads the latest config bundle.

Step 8: Indexer 3 restarts and has successfully joined the cluster.

I agree with Step 4, but I’m curious about the role of Step 2.

Wait, are you sure it’s not Step 2? That seems too early.

Definitely Step 8, all indexers need to be up for full functionality.

I thought it was Step 6? Seems like you need both indexers first.

I practiced a similar question, and I think it was Step 2, but that seems too early for indexing to actually start.

I feel like Step 6 might be the right answer since that's when the second indexer joins, but it seems like we need all three for full functionality.

I think the cluster is ready after Step 4 when Indexer 1 joins, but I'm not completely sure if that's enough for ingestion.

I remember something about needing all indexers to be up before we can start indexing, so maybe it's Step 8?

I'm a little confused by the wording of the question. Are we looking for all the possible ways to reduce credit exposure, or just the most effective ones? I'll have to re-read it a few times to make sure I understand what they're asking.

Okay, I know there are a few different ways to patch WebLogic, but I'm a little unsure about the specific details. I'll need to review the material to refresh my memory.

I think the WWPN pool is related to the Fibre Channel addresses, so maybe option A or D could be correct?
