Haha, my colleagues must be seasoned veterans if they're telling you to ignore these alerts. But they're right, A is the best solution to avoid the false alarms.

C and D don't seem relevant here. Increasing the polling frequency won't stop the false alerts, it'll just give us more of them. A is the way to go.

Option A makes the most sense. We don't want to be alerted every time there's a brief spike in traffic. Setting a sustained period threshold will help us focus on the real issues.
