In a non-SXA website, you have created a layout definition item and want to designate the layout as part of the presentation details. According to Sitecore best practices, where should you set presentation details?
I think the best approach is to set the presentation details on the individual items, as that allows for more flexibility and customization. Standard values would be my second choice.
C seems like the way to go - rendering parameters. It's like having a toolbox full of different presentation options to choose from, depending on the mood we're going for.
I think the answer is B - on the individual items. That way, we can customize the presentation for each page, like a fashion show with different outfits for each model.
I believe setting presentation details on the standard values is also a valid option, as it allows for consistency across items using the same template.
