(choose all that apply)

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A, B, D

Scrum is a lightweight framework that helps people, teams and organizations generate value through adaptive solutions for complex problems. Scrum consists of three roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner and Developers), five events (Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective), and three artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog and Increment). Each component of Scrum serves a specific purpose and is essential to the successful usage of Scrum. Scrum is not a methodology, where you can ''pick and choose'' which parts of Scrum you think will work for your environment. Scrum is a whole, and each part of Scrum complements the others. Scrum is based on empiricism, which means that knowledge comes from experience and making decisions based on what is observed. Scrum employs an iterative, incremental approach to optimize predictability and control risk. Scrum is not like traditional processes but with self-management to replace Project Managers. Scrum is a different way of working that requires a shift in mindset and culture. Scrum promotes self-organization, collaboration, transparency, inspection and adaptation.

E is misleading. Scrum isn't just about replacing PMs!

D sounds right to me because I've read that Scrum is based on empiricism, but I'm a bit confused about E. It seems like a misunderstanding of how Scrum works.

I'm not sure about A; I think each component is important, but can we really say they're all essential?

I feel like B is definitely true since it talks about generating value through adaptive solutions, which is a core principle of Scrum.

I remember that Scrum is definitely a framework, not a methodology, so I think C is incorrect.

I'm confident I can get this one right. Scrum is all about empiricism and delivering value through iterative solutions. I'll make sure to select the options that capture the core principles of Scrum.

Okay, I've got a good handle on Scrum from my project management course. I think the key is understanding that Scrum is a complete framework, not something you can just pick and choose parts of.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I know Scrum is an Agile framework, but I'm not totally clear on the specifics. I'll try to eliminate the options that seem obviously wrong.

This question seems straightforward - I'll start by reading through the options carefully and identifying which ones are true about Scrum.

I've worked with some small business video conferencing systems before, so I think I have a good handle on the common characteristics. I'll try to apply that knowledge to select the correct answer.

Okay, let's see. Option A, UPPER:, looks like it could be a custom regex function, but I don't recognize that syntax. Option B, [A-Z], seems like the most obvious choice to me. I'll go with that.

I'm a bit unsure about this one. I'll need to double-check my subnet math to make sure I select the right VLAN.

Job enrichment seems like the best option here. Giving the employee more autonomy and control over their work would allow them to take on more responsibility.
