So, the correct interpretation would be option C then?

Yes, because the thread dump doesn't suggest that the parameters are too small.

So, does that mean option A and B are incorrect?

I love a good thread dump! This one seems pretty straightforward - the thread is in a waiting state, probably because it's dealing with a sudden influx of requests. No need to sound the alarms just yet. Let's keep an eye on it and see if the situation improves.

I believe the system is not about to crash, as the thread is just blocked.

Ha! Blocked threads and crashes, that's the stuff of nightmares. But this doesn't look too bad - the thread is just waiting patiently for something to do. As long as it's not stuck in an infinite loop or anything, I'd say this is pretty routine.

No, the thread dump entry does not imply that.

So, it's not related to the Tomcat AJP parameter maxThreads being too small?

Yes, the thread dump entry indicates that.

Hmm, I'm not sure the maxThreads or maxAJPThreads settings are the issue here. The thread seems to be in a normal waiting state, just waiting for work to do. Maybe we could look into increasing the thread pool size if this is a recurring problem, but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet.

Increasing the thread pool size could be a solution if this happens often.

This thread dump looks like the system is just handling a lot of concurrent requests, no need to panic. The thread is just waiting for an incoming connection, which is normal behavior.

The thread is waiting on an object of type org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Worker, which represents a worker thread that processes incoming requests.
