I agree with A, C, and E, but B is also a good option if you have single sign-on. Using the position ID makes sense for companies with complex org structures.
A, C, and E are definitely the way to go. Determining the user ID format upfront is crucial for consistency, and end-dating participants is just good practice. Using the name as the ID is a big no-no.
