I practiced a question similar to this, and I think asking binary questions limits the responses. So, that can't be the answer.

I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like suggesting answers might lead the interviewee too much. That doesn't seem right.

I'm a bit confused on this one. I was thinking D - Ask binary questions might be the way to go, to keep things direct and see how the candidate handles more closed-ended prompts. But I could be off base here.

I'm leaning towards A - Suggest answers. That way you can gauge how the candidate reacts and see if they can pick up on the underlying empathy cues. The other options seem a bit too passive.

Definitely C - Encourage stories. That's the classic approach for evaluating empathy. Get the candidate to share personal experiences and see how they describe the emotions involved.

A) Suggesting answers? Really? That's the opposite of empathy. You want the candidate to open up, not just give you the answers you want to hear.

C) Encourage stories is the way to go. Empathy is all about understanding the other person's perspective, and stories are the best way to get there.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. I was thinking maybe B - Ask long questions, to really get a sense of how the candidate responds. But C could work too.

I think the answer is C - Encourage stories. That seems like the best way to assess someone's empathy during an interview.
