How can an Admin create one marker layer for several users to display only the account they currently own?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

To avoid redrawing the existing territory boundaries every time they create a new data set and alignment, Alpine Energy can use the Import from Alignment feature in Territory Planning. This feature allows the customer to import an existing territory model and boundary assignments from another alignment that uses the same territory boundaries as the new data set. This way, the customer can save time and effort by reusing their previous territory design and making adjustments as needed. To use this feature, the customer can follow these steps:

Click the Territory Planning tab to launch the app and display the Browser window.

Hover over an active data set and click the + symbol to add a new alignment.

Enter a Name and Description (optional) for the alignment and click Next.

In the Create Alignment window, select Import Model | Import from Alignment | Next.

Select an existing alignment from which to import the model and boundary assignments.

Click Import.

As an admin, I'd want to keep things simple and secure. Option D just feels like the right way to go - clean and efficient.

Option B with the Dynamic Label marker sounds interesting, but I'm not sure how well that would scale if you have a lot of users. Might get a bit cluttered on the map.

I think Option D could work well if you have a small number of users to display.

I agree, Option B might get too crowded with a lot of users on the map.

Haha, can you imagine if the correct answer was just to create a marker layer for 'All Accounts'? That would be like showing everyone else's accounts too. Talk about a privacy nightmare!

I like how Option C uses a Cross Object to connect the Accounts and Users - that seems like a flexible approach that could work for more complex scenarios.

Option D seems like the most straightforward way to create a marker layer for each user's own accounts. Filtering by the Owner ID field makes a lot of sense.

I'm not sure, but I think B) Create an Account Marker Layer for All Accounts, with a Dynamic Label marker could also work.
