Option A with Visualforce sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it's the most elegant solution. Why reinvent the wheel when Salesforce already has a built-in setting for this?

D) Set the Identity Provider as default and enable the Redirect to the Identity Provider setting on the SAML Configuration.

Option D is tempting, but I'm not sure if setting the Identity Provider as default is the best idea. Seems like overkill just to handle the redirect.

Removing the Login page from the list of Authentication Services could also be a solution, option C is another possibility.
