Option A with Visualforce sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it's the most elegant solution. Why reinvent the wheel when Salesforce already has a built-in setting for this?

Option D is tempting, but I'm not sure if setting the Identity Provider as default is the best idea. Seems like overkill just to handle the redirect.

I think option B is the way to go. Enabling the Redirect to the Identity Provider setting seems like the straightforward approach to automatically redirect users.
