I agree, D seems like the most reasonable answer. Cascading permissions should apply to the group and its descendants, not just the group itself. Although, I'm a bit concerned that the question is worded in a way that could be misleading.

Hmm, this question seems a bit tricky. I'm not entirely sure about the correct answer, but I'm leaning towards option D. It just seems logical that if you cascade the permissions, both the selected group and any child groups would have access to the field.
