Delete? Why would I want to delete records from the search results? I'm trying to edit them, not erase them! Option D is clearly the right choice here.

A and B both sound like they'd just limit my options. I want to be able to edit anything I need to, not just the 'editable fields'.

Option D is the way to go. Inline editing is the most efficient way to update multiple records at once. Saves me from a ton of tedious copy-pasting.

I think both D) Select Enable Inline Edit and A) Update the Display Options could be valid options depending on the situation.

I'm not sure, but I think A) Update the Display Options to only include editable fields could also work.

I agree with Jennie, enabling inline edit would allow us to edit multiple records easily.
