B is unnecessary if you do it right. Just go with D!

I thought A was the right move? Stopping the host seems safer.

Definitely should go with D first. Maintenance mode is key!

Maintenance mode, that's the way to go. Gotta make sure the host is ready before you start messing with the memory.

Haha, "shutdown -h now" - that's the computer equivalent of turning it off and on again. Not exactly a professional upgrade strategy.

B) Remove node from the cluster? That's just going to cause more problems. You want to keep the node in the cluster during the upgrade.

A) Gracefully stop the host by using the out of band management interface. That's a good first step to ensure a smooth upgrade process.

C) Execute "shutdown -h now" from the AHV command line interface? Really? That's just going to shut down the host, not prepare it for the upgrade.

D) Place node into the maintenance mode is the correct answer. You need to put the node in maintenance mode before upgrading the memory.

I think gracefully stopping the host is important, but I’m confused if that means using the out of band management or the command line.

I feel like removing the node from the cluster is a later step, but I can't recall the exact order.

I remember a practice question where we had to put the node into maintenance mode first. Is that the same here?

I think we might need to stop the host first, but I'm not sure if it should be done through the management interface or the command line.

I'm a little confused on the order here. I'll have to think through the steps carefully before deciding.

I'd go with the "shutdown -h now" command from the AHV CLI. That seems like the most direct way to stop the host.

Removing the node from the cluster seems like a good first move to me. That way you don't disrupt anything else.

Hmm, I'm not sure if that's the first step. I'd probably want to gracefully stop the host using the out of band management interface.

I think I'd start by placing the node into maintenance mode, just to be safe.
