I passed the exam by practicing configurations and reading outputs, not just the theory in Module 1. Being comfortable interpreting BGP EVPN routes and service state helped me avoid second guessing on the scenario questions.

EVPN for ELINE services The test often includes configuration verification items that require you to spot VLAN to VPN mapping errors or why a point-to-point service is not forwarding. Review point-to-point semantics, PW redundancy options, and how EVPN models ELINE versus ELAN, and I passed the exam after working through several troubleshooting captures.

I was able to pass by drilling the contrast between EVPN and traditional MPLS services, especially where VPLS concepts still show up in troubleshooting style questions. Building a quick comparison sheet for signaling and MAC learning saved me a lot of time during review.

Multi-Homing in EVPN Expect tricky DF election and failure scenarios where the question asks which PE is the designated forwarder given ESIs and priority values. Make sure you understand ESI formats, DF election tie breakers, and split-horizon rules, and practice failover scenarios, I passed and found a concise question bank from Pass4Success useful for quick revision.

I passed 4A0-115 after focusing on EVPN for Layer 3 services and how IRB and IP prefix routes tie into real forwarding decisions. If you can explain why a given advertisement is needed, the exam feels straightforward.

EVPN for Layer-3 services You will see questions framing IRB interfaces and route leaking, asking whether traffic stays on the same PE or requires inter-VRF export via Type 5 routes. Focus on IRB operation, Type 5 versus Type 2 semantics, and route-target import/export interactions, I passed the exam after diagramming packet flows and policy effects.

I managed to pass the Nokia Ethernet Virtual Private Network Services exam by spending extra time on multi homing details like DF election and split horizon. Those were the trickiest scenarios on the test, so labbing a few failure cases made the difference.

EVPN for ELAN services The exam liked scenario questions about split-horizon and MAC learning, for instance asking why a MAC learned on one PE does not get advertised to a particular remote PE. Study Ethernet A-D routes, ESIs and how local versus remote MAC advertisement works, and practice tracing MAC learning events, I passed the exam and hands-on labs made the concepts stick.

I passed the Nokia 4A0-115 on the first try, and the biggest help was mapping EVPN route types to what actually happens in ELAN versus ELINE. The questions reward people who can reason through control plane behavior instead of memorizing terms.

Introduction to EVPN Expect conceptual questions that test your grasp of the BGP EVPN control plane versus traditional flooding, often asking which EVPN route type handles MAC advertisement or IP prefix distribution. I passed the exam and thanks Pass4Success for providing a good collection of exam questions that helped me focus preparation in a short time.

Remember the Designated Forwarder election and split-horizon behavior in multi-homing questions on 4A0-115, they tripped me up until I sketched the Ethernet segment, DF, and backup paths which made answers much clearer.

Also keep in mind the control-plane versus data-plane differences when questions mix EVPN with traditional MPLS since failure scenarios often hinge on that.

Question #1

Examine the exhibit.

Which of the following configuration conditions is required for the proper operation of EVPN VPWS 2?

Reveal Solution Hide Solution
Correct Answer: A

The local AC tag ID configured on PE2 must match the local AC tag ID configured on PE1. This ensures that the tag IDs are consistent across both ends of the VPWS service. The remote AC tag ID configured on PE2 does not need to match the remote AC tag ID configured on PE3, as long as they are unique within each PE1.

Question #2

Which of the following statements about the EVPN data plane is FALSE?

Reveal Solution Hide Solution
Correct Answer: D

EVPN-MPLS provides services over an MPLS network, not a simple IP network. The customer data is encapsulated with an MPLS label that identifies the service and then tunneled between the PE routers using MPLS LSPs1.

Question #3

Based upon the exhibit,

which of the following statements about the forwarding of BUM traffic is FALSE?

Reveal Solution Hide Solution
Correct Answer: B

PE3 does not add an ESI label to packets forwarded to PE1 because PE1 is connected to the same Ethernet segment.PE3 adds an ESI label only to packets forwarded to PEs that are not connected to the same Ethernet segment, such as PE21.

Question #4

The interface-ful numbered model is used for a Layer-3 EVPN service. Which of the following statements is FALSE?

Reveal Solution Hide Solution
Correct Answer: D

EVPN MAC/IP routes are not used to advertise the MAC and IP addresses of SBD IRB interfaces.EVPN MAC/IP routes are used to advertise the MAC and IP addresses of local hosts attached to the SBD VPLS2.
