I thought re-advertising didn't need a new Path-ID?

I practiced a question similar to this, and I think a BGP speaker does need to generate its own Path-ID when re-advertising.

I feel like Path-ID does uniquely identify paths, but I could be mixing it up with another attribute.

I remember reading that Path-ID is an optional attribute, but I can't recall if it's transitive or not.

I think Path-ID is related to the NLRI field, but I'm not sure if it's four octets or something else.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to carefully consider the details of the scenario and the requirements to determine if the proposed solution meets the goal.

I'm wondering if network NGFW could be used here too, but I feel like application control is more directly related to that whitelisting/blacklisting.

This looks like a classic data pipeline question. I'll need to think through the requirements carefully to determine the best solution.
