I feel like I’ve seen a question similar to this before, and I think the correct answer is that only the DR sends the link-state advertisements in a multi-access network.

I think the subnet mask part is a bit confusing. I don’t recall anything about needing a mask less than /30 for DR and BDR elections.

I remember studying that DR and BDR are only elected when there are multiple routers, but I’m not sure if it’s more than two or if it could be just two.

From what I practiced, I believe the DR is the one that sends out the link-state updates, but I’m not completely sure if the BDR does too.
