Wildfires can have far-reaching impacts on the natural environment. Which tool can help land managers to create plans for landscape repair to minimize post-fire impacts on water supplies and other sensitive ecosystems?

I’m a bit confused about electronic data collection. I know it’s important, but I can’t recall how it specifically relates to minimizing impacts on ecosystems after a fire.
Deployable heat detectors sound like they would be more for detecting fires rather than planning for landscape repair. I feel like satellite imagery is the best option here.
I remember practicing a question about tools for land management, and I think early detection cameras were mentioned as a way to monitor fires, but I'm not sure they help with post-fire planning.
I think satellite imagery could be really useful for assessing damage after a wildfire, but I'm not entirely sure how it directly helps with water supplies.
