The term "myocardial infarction" is commonly known as:

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

Myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow to a part of the heart muscle is blocked for an extended period, leading to damage or death of the heart muscle cells. This blockage is usually caused by a buildup of plaque in the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart muscle. Plaque is composed of fat, cholesterol, and other substances. When a plaque ruptures, it can form a clot that obstructs the blood flow. Symptoms of an MI include chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, and sweating. Immediate medical attention is crucial to restore blood flow and minimize heart damage.

I’m pretty certain it’s not high blood pressure or stroke, so I guess it must be heart attack.

I feel like it could be angina too, but I’m leaning towards heart attack since that sounds more familiar.

Wait, is myocardial infarction the same as angina? I'm a little confused on the difference between those two. I'll have to review my notes before answering this one.

Hmm, I'm not totally sure about this one. I know myocardial infarction has something to do with the heart, but I can't remember if it's the same as a heart attack. I'll have to think this through carefully.

I'm pretty sure myocardial infarction is the same as a heart attack, but I want to double-check that in my textbook just to be sure. Better safe than sorry on an exam question like this.

I'm a bit confused by this question. I know clustering is used to improve availability and scalability, but I'm not sure if reducing power consumption or ease of maintenance are actually reasons for it. I'll need to review my notes on clustering before answering this.
