Actual exam question for Microsoft's MB-500 exam
Question #: 25
Topic #: 8
[All MB-500 Questions]

You are a Dynamics 365 Finance developer. You have a solution that records product weights. You must store up to four decimals of precision by using a standard Extended Data Type (EDT). You need to add the field in a new table.

Which EDT should you extend?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: C

Weight data can be maintained with a maximum of two decimals by default. If you require the ability to enter, maintain, and view weight data with a maximum precision of six decimals, you must extend the decimal point precision for the WeightBase extended data type.

Not sure about B, MarkupValue. That feels off for weights.

I agree with A! Weight is the standard for this.

A seems right, but can we really store four decimals in that?

I think C, WeightBase could work too. Just saying.

Definitely go with A, Weight. Makes the most sense!

I practiced a similar question where we had to choose between different EDTs, and I feel like WeightBase could also be a candidate.

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember something about MarkupValue being used for financial calculations. That might not be right for weights, though.

I think we should extend the Weight EDT since it seems the most relevant for storing product weights.

I’m leaning towards AmountMST, but I’m not confident. It seems more related to currency than weights.

I think option C is the best answer. The question clearly states that FTTH can't handle the latency, capacity, and performance needs of 5G, so it's not suitable as a fronthaul technology.

Okay, I think I've got a strategy here. I'll review the information about the existing channels and then evaluate each of the answer choices to determine the most likely outcome.
