You have an Azure Data Lake Storage account that contains a staging zone.

You need to design a daily process to ingest incremental data from the staging zone, transform the data by executing an R script, and then insert the transformed data into a data warehouse in Azure Synapse Analytics.

Solution: You use an Azure Data Factory schedule trigger to execute a pipeline that copies the data to a staging table in the data warehouse, and then uses a stored procedure to execute the R script.

Does this meet the goal?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

If you need to transform data in a way that is not supported by Data Factory, you can create a custom activity with your own data processing logic and use the activity in the pipeline. You can create a custom activity to run R scripts on your HDInsight cluster with R installed.

I think using Azure Data Factory for scheduling makes sense, but I'm not sure if the stored procedure can handle the R script execution properly.

I've got a strategy for this. I'll start by checking the values of $a and $b, then I'll trace the ternary operator step-by-step to see what's happening with $c. That should help me figure out the output.

This question seems pretty straightforward. I think I can apply some of the service-oriented design principles we've been learning about to come up with a good solution.

I think there was a practice question where the average was around 3 days, but I'm not confident if that was for all customers or just specific cases.

Okay, I think the key here is that extinction can help mitigate some of the potential downsides of reinforcement, like resistance to change and aggression. Combining the two approaches seems like a smart strategy.
