You have an Azure Virtual Desktop host pool that runs Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session.

User sessions are load-balanced between the session hosts. Idle session timeout is 30 minutes.

You plan to shut down a session host named Host1 to perform routine maintenance.

You need to prevent new user sessions to Host1 without disconnecting active user sessions.

Solution: From the properties of the virtual machine of Host1, you enable just-in-time (JIT) VM access.

Does this meet the goal?

Just-in-time access? That's not the right tool for this job!

Nope, you need to set the session host to drain mode instead.

Wait, I thought JIT could help with that?

Totally agree, this won't stop new sessions.

JIT VM access is for security, not session management.

This doesn't seem right to me. JIT is for access control, not for managing user sessions. I would lean towards "No" for this one.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think we need to change the session host's status to drain or something similar to stop new sessions.

I remember a practice question where we had to manage session hosts, and I feel like there was a different setting for preventing new connections.

I think enabling JIT VM access might not actually prevent new sessions from connecting. It seems more about security than session management.

I'm a bit confused by the fast re-route facility mode part. I'll need to review that concept before I can confidently select the right answer.

The Controller and Helper are obvious choices, but the Renderer is throwing me off. I know it's responsible for rendering the component, but I'm not sure if it can actually contain JavaScript functions. I'll have to carefully consider each option and make sure I understand the role of each resource.

Okay, I've got this. Text-delimited and fixed-length are the two valid file formats for external tables. The other options like JSON and HL7 are not valid for this use case. I'm feeling confident about this one.
