Wait, is there really a .prv file? That sounds off.

Definitely A and B! Those are the key files generated.

Definitely id_rsa.pub is one of them, but I'm a bit confused about the private key file name. Is it just id_rsa?

I feel like there was something about .prv files in the notes, but I can't recall if that's correct.

I think the files created are id_rsa and id_rsa.pub. I practiced a similar question last week.

I remember that running ssh-keygen creates a private key and a public key, but I'm not sure about the exact file names.

I'm a little confused by the options here. I know id_rsa and id_rsa.pub are the standard key files, but some of these other options like id_rsa.crt and id_rsa.prv don't seem familiar to me. I'll have to do a quick refresh on the typical SSH key file names.

Okay, let me think this through step-by-step. The question says to accept the default values, so that means the key files should be in the standard ~/.ssh/ directory. The private key is typically id_rsa, and the public key is id_rsa.pub. I'll go with those two.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I know ssh-keygen generates some key files, but I can't remember the exact names off the top of my head. I'll have to think this through carefully.

I'm pretty confident that running ssh-keygen creates the private key file ~/.ssh/id_rsa and the public key file ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub. Those seem like the obvious answers.

This seems like a straightforward question, but I want to double-check my understanding. From what I recall, Okta AD Agents can be configured by super administrators, but I'll review the material to be sure.

I'm not sure about this. Can someone explain why those files are created?

I knew this one! B and E, of course. Although, I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed they didn't include an option for ~/.ssh/id_rsa.backup, because let's be real, that's the first thing I do after running ssh-keygen.

Well, look at that! It's a trick question. The correct answers are B and E, but I bet the exam writer has a twisted sense of humor. Maybe they'll throw in a question about the secret handshake next!

I agree with Stefania. When you run ssh-keygen, it creates the private key and public key files.

B and E are the correct answers. The ssh-keygen command generates a public/private key pair, where the public key is stored in id_rsa.pub and the private key is stored in id_rsa.

So, after running ssh-keygen, those two files are changed or created.
