Hmm, I'll go with D and C. We should apply it to version 4.6.3. Those steps seem logical to me.

I think it might be B. Kernel version 4.6.0 is a good base to apply the patch.

I agree with D. After you uncompress, you would need to match the kernel version. So maybe B or C?

I believe one of them is definitely D, uncompress using xz. It makes sense right before applying the patch.
